The Sony Cybershot DSC-V3 is an impressive aluminium housed compact camera that has a generous 7.2 megapixel CCD coupled with a 4x optical zoom Carl Zeiss® Vario-Sonnar® lens. With aperture/shutter priority and manual exposure mode there's flexibility for adventurous compositions, and your photos can be viewed on the large 2.5 inch LCD. The camera includes features usually only seen at the professional level, including RAW data recording, a High Speed Burst (x8) mode at 2.5fps, and a dual slot for Memory Stick ™ and Compact Flash ™ (type I).
Other features include quick operation (shutter time lag 0.35 sec, shutter release lag 0.009 sec), NightShot and NightFraming, Stamina Battery Life (approx 300 shots by CIPA standard), an AF Illuminator, and PictBridge compatibility. The camera also comes supplied with a rechargeable battery and charger.
