Nikon Coolpix 7600
Scheduled for a Spring release I'm taking this to mean April sometime but it could be later. The camera has an impressive 7.1 megapixel CCD, and a 3x optical zoom Nikkor ED (Extra-low dispersion) lens. It features Face-priority AF for help when taking portraits and D-Lighting for use on images with excessive backlight or insufficient flash.
The camera comes with an RRP of £299.99

Sony S40, S80, and S90
All featuring Carl Zeiss 3x Optical Zoom lenses, 4.1 megapixel CCDs and STAMINA battery power, the only real differences between these cameras are the LCD sizes and the manual control in the S80 and S90.
The LCD sizes on the S40, S80 and S90 are 1.5", 2.0", and 2.5" respectively. The upside to the smaller LCDs is a longer battery life with 550 shots on the S40 and 450 shots on the S90.
Pricing is yet to be confirmed.

Two new entry level compact cameras that have 4.0 and 5.1 effective megapixels, 3x optical zoom, and according to Nikon, twice the battery life as previous iterations.
For the marine-minded an optional underwater housing will also be released. The cameras will come with an RRP of £149.99 for the 4600, and £199.99 for the 5600.
They will also be available in black.
